I remember going to Cheap Skates when I was 12, and just sitting up stairs and watching Sean Miller, Barker Barrett, Tom Boyle and Kay and Ken Sigafoos. I can't even remember if I dropped in on the micro, just watched in awe. When he passed it hurt like I knew him, being the first pro I ever saw. Thanks bud for the inspiration. 🙏 @mercifulskate

I hope everyone has a memory like that, the day you saw shit go down for the first time. It's what gets you hooked. Way before sponsor me tapes and Internet. Putting in the leg work and paying dues as opposed to one upping people at spots. #respect
One of the gnarliest humans ever. I saw that guy do some of the most amazing stuff on a skateboard. And off
@mfrazier72 was and is that inspiration, @dpensyl seeing mike hang up on stalefish is a heart attack of stoke. #sorryforfanningout but not really
I started going to U Arts in 92 and hadn't been skating other than the occasional curb or odd ball trip to Bricktown with Turtso. Anyway I was at the Jesus Lizard show at the Troc and there was Sean doing frontside inverts on the stage and hucking himself through out the crowd "shirtless" ofcourse. Between songs I stopped Sean and said hello, it had been a couple of years since I'd seen him, he replied "Yeah Steve! You used to do the best lien to tail slides." Unreal, you never know what people will remember about you or what kind of an impact that you have made in someone else's life. That night a hero remembered something about me that I had almost all but forgotten. 21 years has past and a group of us still skate the vert ramp dedicated in Sean's honor. Some people's impact ripples endlessly, Sean always in our minds and hearts!
I miss the Ferrari out front !!!!
@njbenj that clip on YouTube is rad! That alley-oop 50 to hang up was insane. Really rad shit.
@faas74 that's fucking radical
@navs5000 rad to see you had his board in your archive. My mom would get pissed when she'd drive me to cheap skates when I was 12 and I'd just watch him and the Sigafoos bro's rip the whole time. I drive you 2 1/2 hours round trip to just sit and watch. It's hard to explain that I can either get my rock lapper smacks to fakie or see some timeless sessions I'll remember forever.
