Morgan Smith rides a 7.75" Blind skateboard, 51mm Sml. wheels, Venture 5.0 low trucks, Bones (medium) bushings, extra washers on axles to keep the nuts flush, Bones Swiss bearings with shields popped off, Diamond hardware, and some griptape he found at BTL skateshop. @morganersmith

Why

Love these set up posts. Keep up the good work man, such fun.

Also why do people pop the shields off their bearings? Always wondered this during my 11 years skateboarding, haha. @ronniecreager

@stefanoaddis apparently not long enough. Two reasons.. Shields stop dirt from getting in, but also from getting out. If youre not trying to ride the same bearing for a long time, they will run smoother without the shields. It also sounds better.. And looks better, but thats three reasons. :/

Haha apparently not, but life is a learning curve. As is skateboarding. All those reasons make sense. Thanks @andrewd3!

@stefanoaddis shields also break inwards and break the bearing.
